Important information regarding the Rise Senior High 2017-2018 ministry year:
That's a wrap folks!
If you missed it (not many did) our Act2: Senior Recognition Night was amazing, emotional, uplifting, fun, meaningful, and blessed. It was an incredible night for all of us and especially for our 7 seniors that got to leave their mark (literally) on our ministry.
If you don't know them, our 7 graduating seniors are:
We were honored to have families and friends join us for the evening as we celebrated all that God has done and will do through our seniors. We were incredibly grateful to have Mr. Paul Meloon share a commencement speech with us as he shared from the story of Elijah. Mr. Meloon is an AP English teacher who had all of our Cal-Mum crew as students.
With so many seniors it wasn't easy getting though the Parent blessings and laying on of hands tradition that we observe. That's always a powerful time and we all did pretty good just trying to keep it together.
NEED TO KNOW
July 16-20: Vacation Bible School
We encourage our Senior High Teens to help out with this ministry during the summer. We get to connect while getting some younger kids connected to Jesus and each other. They have to take the Reducing the Risk class to work with kids if they'd like to help out. There's one class coming up this Sunday June 10th @ 11am, and there will be at least one more before VBS.
July 29-August 2: Kingdom Bound
There's still room to sign up for Kingdom Bound.
Total Cost is $175. We camp onsite and it's such a great trip! You can reserve a spot with a $40 deposit - check our Facebook event page or our website page for info and electronic payment options.
Our program year has come to an end.
We start up again at the Tailgate Party on September 9th, 2018!
Doing life with Jesus is the only way to go on this adventure. He was really good to us this year. Our Rise Youth Ministry has grown each year, and we're praying He'll continue to guide, bless, and grow our hearts for the teens in our area. We hope you'll pray with us beacuse the need is great!
